When you view a document, the initial display mode matches that of SolidWorks at the time the model was published to eDrawings That lets me change the paper color to white, or the background (in the window, but behind the paper) color. You can change the display mode by linking display states to configurations or keeping display states independent from particular configurations. You cannot change the color and texture of components. I always select a material type for my parts then go to the Display Manager tab on the browser, right clitk on the Appearance created for that material and select Edit Apearence then I change the color

You can edit custom properties in SOLIDWORKS files from Windows Explorer that is, without opening the files in the SOLIDWORKS application. You can display mass properties for CAD files (except SOLIDWORKS files) or eDrawings part and assembly files. When you close files or the eDrawings application, you are prompted to save changes. Use the Open tool to open an existing file in the eDrawings Viewer.
